Milaaya has been established to acquaint the world with India's arts and crafts and to amalgamate the traditional skills of the artisans of India with the modern and contemporary designs of global fashion brands and labels. Milaaya Embroideries was incorporated in the US and India in 2000.

GAYATRI KHANNA
– CEO and Director, Milaaya Embroideries
Gayatri Khanna, the dynamic CEO and Director of Milaaya Embroideries, is a visionary leader with a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing from Babson College, Massachusetts. Her journey into the world of fashion began in New York, where she honed her skills while working with renowned garment companies and later as a discerning buyer for designer wear at Saks Fifth Avenue. Fuelled by her passion for fashion and armed with invaluable industry experience, Gayatri embarked on her entrepreneurial journey to establish Milaaya Embroideries. Her hands-on approach and keen eye for creativity permeate every facet of the business, from the inception of innovative designs to ensuring a streamlined and ethical manufacturing process. Beyond business development, Gayatri remains at the forefront of technological advancements, driving the company towards continued growth and success. In addition to her professional pursuits, Gayatri is deeply committed to philanthropy, actively engaging in initiatives aimed at empowering and uplifting artisans within the community. As a compassionate leader dedicated to both creativity and social responsibility, Gayatri Khanna epitomizes the ethos of Milaaya Embroideries.

Amit Sabharwal, the founder and managing partner of Milaaya Embroideries is an MBA graduate from Texas A&M University and studied finance at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. He has also attended the Executive Education program at Harvard Business School. With his knowledge and wisdom from the management and finance field, Mr. Sabharwal as a board member at Milaaya Embroideries, brings precision and accuracy in managing the operations and helps with the skillful allocation of finances for Milaaya Embroideries. He is also the Founder & Managing Partner of Tristone Strategic Partners LLP. Tristone provides investment and financial support services to single and multi-family offices, investment funds and start-ups across different geographies.
